Where to start, with Kath?! If we could clone her and hand her out to every couple getting married, we would. She’s that good.
We were planning our wedding from the other side of the world, which should have felt like herding cats in a hurricane, but Kath somehow made it feel calm, organised, and even fun. From the very first chat, she just got us. Half the time she knew what we wanted before we’d even figured it out ourselves – it was like we were starring in our own (very organised) rom-com. She came armed with more ceremony ideas than we knew existed, which meant we could build something completely our own. She even helped us pull off a sand ceremony mid-way through, using sand from the beach where we got engaged – it was honestly a little bit magical!
Her vibe on the day was the perfect cocktail of heartfelt and hilarious. She’s a natural performer, and read the room like a pro, somehow knowing exactly when to lean into the emotion and when to lighten the moment. One minute the room is full of people dabbing at the eyes, the next, its belly laughs galore! Meanwhile, she was quietly coordinating the venue, the musicians, the bridal party… basically running the whole show like a very elegant circus ringmaster.
She was incredible with kids too. When our baby decided to crawl across my dress mid-ceremony, she didn’t flinch. She welcomed him into the moment without letting anything derail or distract. It felt natural and very us, which a lot of celebrants just wouldn’t get.
And somehow throughout all of this, she managed to be a bit of a Houdini! She was always slipping into the perfect spot so the photographer could get every shot without interruption. It was like she had a sixth sense for angles!
She’s the kind of celebrant you rave about for years—the rare mix of heart, humour, and pure magic. We’d recommend her a thousand times over and happily shout her praises from the rooftops… if people still did that. Instead, we’ll just keep telling everyone we know that she’s an absolute gem and the reason our ceremony felt unforgettable.
Bridesmaid extraordinaire – Brodie
Flying in from overseas, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the ceremony, but I was blown away by how beautifully Kath told their story – it just felt so personal and I kept thinking, “She knows them so well!”
I was also incredibly grateful for how organised she was, she had honestly thought of every little detail the rest of us hadn’t even considered, and it made the whole day feel seamless…leaving us to just enjoy the prosecco!
One thing I especially loved was how she kept the focus exactly where it belonged—on the bride and groom. No matter what was happening around them, she gently steered the attention back to the two people who mattered most, and she did it with such grace that no one felt overshadowed or uncomfortable.
I’d recommend her to anyone who needs a celebrant—weddings, vow renewals, Tuesday morning pep talks… Honestly, she can do it all. If she can wrangle a wedding of guests flying in from three different time zones, she can handle whatever you throw at her.
Mother of the bride – Margaret
From the moment the ceremony began, Kath brought a level of confidence and ease that made me feel like she’d been doing this her whole life. She brought us all along with her – she was calm, assured, and instantly made us all relax.
Her humour was such a lovely surprise! She always had a witty remark ready at just the right moment, bringing lightness and warmth without ever taking away from the meaning of the day. And when it came to the more formal parts of the ceremony, she switched seamlessly into a beautifully heartfelt tone like a true professional.
I was really amazed by how unfazed she was by the younger children in the audience. Nothing threw her off! She knew exactly how to just keep it all flowing, and it just looked so effortless.
She struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and humorous and it’s clear that she is an absolute natural. It’s easy to see why Kath’s so loved, and I’d happily tell anyone looking for a celebrant that they couldn’t choose better.
