This ceremony is a lovely way to reaffirm the vows you made in your original wedding ceremony or perhaps to make new promises to each other!
Relationships change over time as a couple navigate all that life brings to us; from raising families, to navigating careers, supporting each other’s dreams and holding each other up in more challenging moments. I think the idea of celebrating all these moments, alongside family and friends, is a beautiful way to both reflect on the past and make pledges for the future.
I can help you design a day that honours all your milestones as a couple with a beautifully bespoke ceremony that represents your journey so far.
As with Celebrant led weddings Vow Renewals don’t have to follow a set pattern or rules; they can happen anywhere and consist of anything! Let’s find a beautiful beach, your favourite pub or a space in your back garden. My process is similar to when I am creating a wedding ceremony; the first step is to get to know you as a couple and hear about both your ‘love story’ (how you met etc) and ‘your life so far’ story (everything you have achieved and faced together over your marriage so far). We will also talk about the look and feel of your event; do you want an informal and fun back garden celebration, or do you want the wedding day you never got to have originally? Do you want to ‘re-dedicate’ your rings to each other? Would you like a candle ceremony that involves all your children and grandchildren? We can talk through all these options and more!
I will then go away and write a script for your ceremony; you will have lots of opportunities to look at this script and make suggestions and changes.
On the day I will arrive well in advance of your ceremony and have everything I need to ensure that your Vow Renewal is a special and celebratory day to remember.

Vow renewal ceremonies from £500
- An initial meeting
- Contact leading up to the day to ensure we have everything perfectly planned
- Access to my library of poetry, readings and resources
- Option to explore a ritual (i.e. sand ceremony or handfasting)
- Support with writing your vows
- First draft of the script and opportunity to make revisions
- Digital copy of the script to keep as a memento
- A rehearsal – preferably at your venue, but with an online option
- Arrival at your venue at least 1 hour before the ceremony
- Delivery of your ceremony!
