Weddings

Celebrant led weddings are bespoke, inventive and without limits.  These ceremonies are not legally binding (the ‘wedmin’ happens prior to your ‘big day) so we can choose personalisation over paperwork!

Celebrant-led weddings can happen anywhere (it doesn’t need to be a licensed venue) and the ceremonies can be non-religious, or include aspects of religion and spirituality. 

We can involve all your family and friends in a big interactive ceremony, or the ceremony can be small, simple and intimate.  We can explore themes, rituals, poetry and music – all ideas are welcome to make your wedding truly one of a kind.

About my process

My process when writing and delivering my Celebrant led weddings is to work with a couple over several meetings to ensure that connection and understanding is built between us.  I want to know how you met, what first attracted you to each other, what barriers you have overcome and what hopes you have for the future. I want to hear your funny stories and all about your shared interests.  I want to know what is important to you and what will make your big day feel special, safe and celebrated.  

I can suggest to you ways in which we might move through a ceremony – from vows, ring exchanges to rituals such as a sand ceremony or hand-tying (don’t worry I can explain all about these!).  I have lots of ideas around getting the congregation to join in or how to  include key members of your wedding party – I happily work with children and animals! I have a library of poetry, readings and ideas. More than anything I am up for hearing YOUR ideas and creating something totally original.  

I will also go away and write your ‘love story’ which will become the heart of your ceremony.  However, you will have final say on what is shared and spoken aloud.  

With a wedding celebrant what you get is personalisation and no limits! We can work anywhere (licensed or unlicensed venues).  We can include anything in your ceremony – it can be totally non-religious or it can contain religious elements.  We can bring in your cultural and spiritual beliefs – or we can theme everything around your favourite TV show.  

What we CANNOT do is legally marry you, this is NOT currently an option in England.  At Celebrant led weddings the couple complete the ‘Wedmin’ (the legal bit) before their ceremony. This can be done simply and affordably at your local register office.

Wedding ceremonies from £795 

  • An initial meeting 
  • 2 -3 planning meetings as we start working on your ideas! 
  • A WhatsApp group to chat and share thoughts leading up to your day
  • Liaison with key guests and wedding suppliers 
  • Access to my library of poetry, readings and resources 
  • Option to explore a ritual (i.e. sand ceremony or handfasting)
  • Support with writing your vows 
  • First draft of the script and opportunity to make revisions 
  • Digital copy of the script to keep as a memento
  • A rehearsal – preferably at your venue, but with an online option 
  • Arrival at your venue at least 1 hour before your ceremony 
  • Delivery of your ceremony!
